Introducing Chris and Mariesa and their dogs, Gremlin, Meatball, Money, The Stig, Moses, Tejas, Quinn, and Sammy. They're all here for the premier episode of Life In The Dog House, our new web series that explores what life is like with eight rescue dogs under one roof. Chris and Mariesa say they fell fast for each other on account of how well they took to each other's dogs. Caring for eight of them is a challenge, but it goes without saying that it is a labor of love.

I had the pleasure of running into this lovely couple at a restaurant and they gave us free tickets to a comedy show, so nice! We had no idea their dogs are so CUTE.

Beautiful camerawork and generally adorable. Looking forward to watching more episodes!

  11. 9 dogs…try 28 (used to be 37 till we lost several our fur kids).
At one time 12 St Bernards, and thankfully only 6 would get on the king size waterbed.
was so funny 3 would be nice getting on the bed then the younger bucks would just jump on and we would all go flying.
Went through a couple of waterbedss and airbeds.
Finally got a king size solid bed and they did not like that much.
Always had only about 6 inches so side sleeper i became.
When i had to travel (up to 90%) before I became disabled, i could never sleep in a hotel, no matter how nice.
I finally figured out had to make a recording of the snoring and all.
Once I did that my computer would play it back for me to hear when I slept.
Not the same great sleep but half is better than none.
Now our dogs left are smaller, been with us since they were born.
One old boy Figaro is 20 yrs old and his son is 18 both blind and still feisty.
the rest of the kids range from 3 yrs up to 16.
We have lost 3 kids since Dec due to cancer and heart.
God Bless all people who help HIS animal friends in small and great ways.
When you adopt, please if you can, Adopt 2 at a time.
Built in playmate and when you have 2 or more you have so many more laughs you live a lot longer.

  18. I am happy to see others that feel the way we do about our dogs

  19. oh i wish i would have found you earlier! this is a great show! i love love love you guys! i also resuce the ones nobody else wants! ๐Ÿ™ i have a no-kill sanctuary in texas, and i take what nobody else wants, hoarding dogs, dogs from the street, dogs from high-kill dog pounds, whatever. my life is chaotic and expensive, BUT i swear i would never ever give it up! i watched a different one of your shows where you took Meatball to a doggie shrink! wow! you guys are so wonderful . so much dedication! it is so wonderful to find more people that do whatever needs to be done! our place is amazing. the yard is spectacular. one question, with all the ahhh strong beed dogs do you have fighting much. your show makes it look like all of them are fine together, and i cannto imagine that being the norm? if it is tell me your secret!? i never claim ot be a trainer. i am not! i am rescuer, rehabber, rehomer, but not a trainer. i have been able to get dogs out of the road when they were hit and left for dead. never got nipped. i have broken up really bad dogs fights, i can do all that stuff cuz dogs trust me. but train no. i am not that patient i think. not a good trait, but it is probably one that wont change. anywho i loved her comment on her nose being like her dogs nose! you know what??? i love both your noses, and i am on the same page as you….looking like an animal is not a cut down, oh no, it is a huge compliment! you are beautiful people, and i dont know if you are still filming. it looks like you started in 2013, if you do you have a die hard fan. i have to run cuz i have only seen 2 shows….i have to catch up! kiss all the babies from me, and tell them it is from Aunt Michele in texas! xoxoxo

  20. We miss you!
